Our Caravan Meadow is located opposite the Mendlesham woods and walks in the heart of Suffolk.

 

 

 

The site has its own entrance directly opposite the Mendlesham Woods which provides and excellent opportunity to stretch your legs in the 12.5 acre plot or walk on to enjoy one of the Mendlesham walks.

 

The site is flat with its own entrance and hard standing making it a perfect all weather location.  The half acre meadow has been planted with trees and hedging to provide shade and shelter the choice is yours where you park.  In addition 5 bays each with their own water and electrical points have been provided that can be easily accessed directly from the hard standing.

 

We welcome dogs however, due to fact that we have animals on site and for the peace and quiet of other on site, we would ask that they are keep under control on a lead.

 

The site is an excellent location for exploring the local area which is well endowed with walks including Thornham (5.5 miles), the Mid Suffolk Light Railway Museum (3.6 miles) the Museum of East Anglian Rural Life (7 miles), pubs serving local produce and local shops.

 

Centrally located in East Anglia, the site makes an excellent base for visits to the region:

  • Ipswich 17 miles
  • Bury St Edmunds 31 miles
  • Newmarket 36 miles
  • Southwold 36 miles
  • Aldeburg 32 miles
  • Cambridge 49 miles

East Anglia and Suffolk, in particular, is blessed with a wealth of attractions for the visitor who is looking for a quiet escape walking, cycling, fishing or driving down a network of rural roads and paths. The National trust is well represented by; Flatford nestled by the river Stour with its many iconic views captured by John Constable’s paintings, Lavenham Guildhall in one of the best preserved medieval villages in Britain, Sutton Hoo home to one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time and Anglo-Saxon kings burial to name but a few.  Birdwatching can be enjoyed at RSPB Minsmere home to BBC’s Springwatch 2016 or one of the quieter spots down the Suffolk Coast and Heath.

 

East Anglia has less rain than any other part of Britain along with its flat landscape combine to make the outdoor holiday more pleasurable at all times of the year.
